Happy Birthday Grandpa!

As you all may know today is my dad's birthday so here is a picture to say Happy Birthday from all of us and especially little Madison!

Me and Daddy

In honor of Madison and her daddy I thought I'd post some pictures of them enjoying each other's company.

Mike LOVES helping Madison stand.
This is also one of their favorite pasttimes. She gets a ride on daddy's shoulders. She's always smiley. Sometimes she grabs his hair and tried to taste it. There is always a face of disgust after realizing that his hair is prickly and not too tasty.

When Mike comes home from work Madison almost always gets so happy. She'll smile and laugh and just be in this great mood! This was taken on Thursday.

Swim Time

Mike was playing around with the camcorder editing program on the computer and he found the way to take frames from a video and make them into pictures. This was from a video we took probably a few weeks ago. We turned the heat off in the hot tub and have used it as a pool so we took Madison out for a little swim.

Playing with her toy.
"Come back."

7 Months Old!!

Our little girl is 7 months old today!!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone. She is such a sweetie and she makes us melt with every smile and laugh and even little sad faces she gives us. I have said this before but we feel truly blessed by having such a precious little girl in our lives!

A little update on her. She has enjoyed and is continuing to enjoy solid foods.
~In her repertoire of food she has squash, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas, applesauce, oatmeal cereal, and next is turkey, chicken, other meats and I just got her some pears. She does not like peas at all!!! I have to hide a small amount in one of her other foods to get her to eat them.

~She still sleeps from 8pm-7am, she has started rolling on to her tummy to sleep during her nap times and night time sleep.

~She has started trying to copy Mike when he pretends to laugh and says "ha ha ha". It was so funny the first time. She really concentrates.

~She experienced ocean up close and personal but did not seem to like it too much...yet

Mike went for a ride tonight and since she had a picture with a Harley we thought it was about time to get a picture of her on a Ninja. :) This is Uncle Billy's bike that will have to suffice until daddy gets one of his own.
I took some closeups tonight just for fun. Here's one that really shows off her eyes. You can also see a little bit of her tongue sticking out.:)

Labor Day Outing

On Labor Day we googled Savannah activites and found the Oakland Education Center and “Zoo”. They had a two mile nature trail with animals along the way. Among the animals were bobcats, alligators of course, cranes, and eagles. Mike took a video of the foxes and the eagles. We weren’t able to see the bobcats because they were in the bushes.

This was an old boat that was back in the trees. We aren't sure why it was there but thought it looked cool.
Madison LOVES riding on Mike's shoulders! She always gets so smiley.

Madison always sticks things in her mouth. Well, this time she tried to put Mike's hair in her mouth. She made an icky face and didn't try it again. :)

The trail wound through the woods except for this small protion that went out into the marsh. It was actually really pretty and there was a much needed cool breeze.

Isn't this house gorgeous! This was the information center for the park.

Afternoon Walk

Labor Day weekend was nice because Mike had a 4 day weekend so he had Friday and Monday off. Unfortunetely it rained almost non stop the whole weekend. Friday though it cleared up just enough for us to head out and take a little walk. It has been in the upper 90's lower 100's for quite awhile so taking walks has been almost completely out of the question but thankfully all the rain cooled it down. The first mini trail we were going to visit was all flooded so we went over to the pond and found some ducks to show Madison. She was getting a little sleepy so she wasn't too interested but she always likes to get out and just look around at everything.

New Toys

Madison has been getting bored of her toys so we thought it was time to get her some new more challenging ones. We got her a bunch of stackable balls that all com apart and fit together with different shapes colors and numbers. We also got her a bucket of shaped blockes that fit threw the matching shaped hole in the lid. She had tons of fun and we had an equally fun time watching her with them!

She liked to pick up a half of a ball and stick it up to her face and then look through the little hole.

Taking a little break by pulling on daddy's fingers to stand.

This is a picture of her when we first got the toys. She was so interested in them both. As you can see she couldn't decide which ones to play with first.:)
