Playing in the sprinkler

In the mornings I take Madi outside with me to turn on the prinklers to water the grass. This day she decided she'd walk into the water so I just let her have some fun. She isn't really smiling in any of the pictures we got but trust me, she had alot of fun.

Aunt Kimmy is showing her how to splash in the water.

Look at that little belly.:)

Salute the Troops Air Show

On Sunday we went to the Salute the Troops air show which is in honor of alot of the soldiers who are now coming home. They had a Huey helicoptor that has been restored from the Vietnam war. They gave rides on this all day and Kim and I definitely couldn't pass that opportunity up. The air show featured alot of pilots as well as the 101st airborne parachuters. Also a man who lost his leg in the Iraq war and received the purple heart jumped with them. It was alot of fun.

Madi playing her little fan.(don't worry it was a kid safe fan.)

It's kind of hard to tell but he's flying upside down.

Madison helped hand out numbers while Kim and I rodethe helicopter. When the ride was over the ladies had so much fun with her they told me we couldn't have her back.:)

Right before getting on. Kim and I were the "gunners" so we got to face out instead of in! We had a great view whenever we'd turn. Below are just pictures of our view up in the air.

This was a picture of our "gun".

Still in the air.

Kim and I waiting to take off.

Moving Vietnam and Richmond Hill Veterans Memorial

The moving Vietnam Memorial was in Richmond Hill this past weekend so we went to see it. They also had a Chinook for us to tour. This is what the soldiers ride when they are going into Iraq or traveling other places.

Chinook

The walk up to the Richmond Hill Veterans Memorial which is always open to us. At the end of this are alot of bricks that are dedicated to soldiers and other military men and women of Richmond Hill that lost their lives during all the wars starting I think starting with WWI. They have recently dedicated some brickes to soldiers who lost their lives in this past year in the Iraq war.

This wall travels all across the country.

Madi and I in the back of the Chinook. I really liked seeing inside what Mike talks about when he says he traveled in country in a Chinook.

Cooking Time

Whenever we are cooking or doing anything in the kitchen Madison loves being in there and watching what we are doing. She'll just watch and point to what we're doing and talk to us about it. She always wants us to pick her up but that makes it difficult to cook with just one hand. So, we put her in her seat so she could watch.

Intently watching Kim blend things.

Happy little girl!

Playing with her ball

We bought Madi a ball the other day so here are a few cute shots we got of her playing with it.

This ball is almost as big as I am!

Fort Pulaski

Monday we went to Fort Pulaski which is on Tybee island. Kim was wanting to take in some local Georgia sites so I thought it would be fun. It was a fort used in the civil war by the Confederate army. Madison even enjoyed doing some exploring.

Draw bridge at the entrance to the fort.

Moat that they used to protect themselves from the union forces.

View from on the upper level of the fort.

In the prison.

These were taken one of the rooms they had built underground.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day we had a little BBQ. Here are some picture of us hanging out.

We thought this picture was funny because it looks like she's ready to be searched.
