Little Gymnast

Lately Madison has been exploring other ways to look around at things. I caught her doing this a couple times. She stays down for quite awhile too. It is funny because Mike and I are planning on putting her in gymnastics when she is old enough anyway. I guess she's going to start now and work on standing on her head.:)

If you look close you can see that she is looking at me through her legs. She likes to wave at me also and stick her hand through her legs. The other day she realized she could balance and wave with both arms through her legs. (I apologize for the mess. Madi thought it would be fun to through all the easter eggs from the pantry onto the floor so I let her. She had to help pick them up too.)

Labor Day

Labor Day my friend Mary Ann and I went to Hilton Head to get some beach time. It was rainy when we woke up but we decided we should go ahead with our plans. I am glad we did because I think alot of people decided not to go to the beach thinking it would rain so it wasn't over crowded. The weather was perfect. It was a little clowdy and as you can tell very windy so it felt great!

She was looking at her feet. She is still not too crazy about how it feels when the tide goes back out and washes the sand out from under her feet.:)

Sorry about this picture. I am not sure why it downloaded sideways. She wouldn't move for a few waves so we let her stand there and her feet got burried.

The sun started coming out as you can see. :)

She loved filling up her little bucket with sand.

She thought she was heading off on her own to explore.

J.F. Gregory park

Here are more pictures of us at the park in town. The weather wasn't too hot that day since it had rained alot so it was perfect! Madison likes playing on the toys obviously but if we go to the park when there are alot of little kids she doesn't do much playing. She LOVES to watch them, talk to a few and several times she has tried to follow the big kids up the bigger toys. :) I posted a TON of pictures but I had alot and this is me cutting back.:) Enjoy.

I hope you enjoy this series of pictures. She had help but was reaching up for the next peg. Mike was obviously very proud!:)

We went for a walk on one of the long paths back in the marsh and they have exercise stations. Mike was on workout withdrawals so he thought he'd take advantage of the chin up bars. He didn't know I was taking the picture. ;)

It's kind of hard to see it but they are actually in step. Both of them have their left foot lifted.

As you can see it was a very nice trail. Since it was back in the marshland it was nice and quiet.

Since it had just rained tons of little crabs were running around on the path. Here are a few pictures we got of them and Madi.

This was the biggest one we saw. He was not happy to see us. You can see the size of them compared with the grass and the leaf her is on.

This was had different colorings. He had a red claw.(if that is what you call it:) )

Mike took two pics and connected them. It was really pretty out there.

Bug Hunting

One of the souvenirs we got Madi from her trip to the zoo was this little bug cage. The next day her and Mike went out to hunt for bugs. She was definitely interested in looking at the bugs she caught. They also found a little frog they put in there for a little bit.

Off to find the bugs with daddy.

Busy searching the yard.

Is that a bug over there?

We caught one!:)

New Outside Toys

We got some new toys to put outside for Madison and as soon as Mike came home for leave he went out to put them up. He wanted to put them up with her so I left them until he got here. Here's some cute pictures of them hard at work. :)

She watched how Daddy did it.....

...then tried it herself.

She started playing on it before Mike got it all the way put together.

She is very cautious so Mike was encouraging her to go down the slide. :)

"Helping" daddy put together her picnic table. She was very interested in the way his hair felt that day as well as other days. I guess it does feel different than mine.

Both of them enjoying the table. It also has a little unbrella on top. The table and the sandbox(in the background) came together so she also gained a sandbox. The two of them match so that was good for us. :)

Jacksonville Zoo

While Mike was here we really wanted to take Madison to the zoo. I had actually held off on taking her until Mike could go with us. Madison really enjoyed all the animals as well as the other little kids she saw there. :)

We walked up to the snake exhibit and as soon as she saw the snake she got really whiny and nervous. It was the only animal she did not like in the whole zoo.

If you ask her to smile this is almost always what you will get. She is quite the character!

We let her pick out her souvenir so here she is trying to decide.
