For Christmas Kim bought Madison a cute "I'm a little Husker Princess" onesie. Here's some cute pictures of her in it.

New Play Kitchen

For Christmas we got Madison a play kitchen. It's designed just for little babies and young toddlers. There is a play and learning mode that you can set it on. The learning one does things such as say 'on' when she lifts the handle to the faucet on the sink and say 'off' when she pushes it down, and it will sing the alphabet and numbers 1-10 as well as a few other learning things. The play mode makes water sounds or plays songs on the radio when she turns the dial. She seems to enjoy both. It's also perfect for to walk around on because if she falls or hits anything it's all plastic.

She can put balls in the sink and they'll go down a tub and into the green tray that she is looking at. She will continuously put balls in the sink for several minutes.:) Here she was looking for it. She will put other objects in there that don't always go down. I think that is what happened here.

Exploring her to for the first time. Her daddy saw this picture and noticed that she looked like a little person more than a baby. He also noticed that she has more hair than he remembered. :)

Pointing

Madison has really let pointing become part of her daily activities. She will point at something she wants to see on many different occasions: after a nap, after being consoled from a tumble, on the way out the door(she usually wants to see something in the house), at objects in books during our reading time and several others that I can't think of at the moment. Oh, she'll definitely point at her bottle when she wants it. It's really cute actually because most of the time she is very excited about what she is pointing at.

Flowers from my honey!

Mike surprised me on Thursday with some beautiful flowers. He convinced me that I should stay home that day. I thought it was odd how insistent he was being about it but as soon as the lady showed up at the door with them I knew exactly why. So this post is dedicated to my honey. He is doing really well and will probably be taking command over there within the next several months or so. August is when he gets to come home for R&R also. I am trying not to get too excited yet. We still have a ways to go before then. Keep him and the other guys in your prayers.

11 Months

This past month has been a big one for Madison. We spent alot of time in Nebraska for all the holidays. Since I was gone I was a little slow on getting things posted.
Since I didn't post anything for her 10 months milestone I may combine that with this post.

*Can stand on her own for several seconds.
*Learned how to wave goodbye and hello
*Went on another plane ride to Nebraska and did very well!
*Celebrated her first Thanksgiving and Christmas
*Met lots of family and was very weary of many of them
*Got her first tooth and still has just one :)
*Got to play in snow for the first time and really didn't know what to think
*Had an early 1st birthday party at grandma's so was able to try cake, she liked the frosting :)
*Likes to squeal and "run" from me when I go to "get" her
*Loves to play peekaboo
*Gets excited when she sees other babies or little kids

Can you tell she's a girl? Look at that pinky in the air while holding her pacifier.

Such a little personality coming out in this face. :)

Little Starbucks Drinker

Yesterday mom took Kim, Madison and I to Barnes and Nobles for a last girls day out with coffee. It was a fun time as usual and even Madi got some coffee....just kidding, her cup was empty.

Someday there will be coffee in here.:)

My sis and little Starbucks buddy.

Sister Dance Party!

The other night kim taught the electric slide so I now FINALLY know how. We fun just being stupid with it and enjoying a little sister time while mom took a few photos.

We thought it would be fun to start at different places and see if we'd run into each other. Surprisingly we didn't but came pretty close several times.

New Years '07

For New Years we had a little party at our house. We played games and ate food. It was really nice. The next day we went to Omaha to run errands and have some lunch. It was only around 10 degrees that day.
"Are you sure I can have this?" (Don't worry we didn't let her have pop.)

New Years Eve.
